View Full Version : MR elliptical filering with maya textures?

Can someone please point me to any information on how to connect a 2d procedural texture in maya(cloth, checker...etc.) to a MR filter node. It this possible, or do i need to use a file texture?

ok... next question, francesca, how do i get an elliptical filtered texture into your bump combiner. The network i have now is just the normal elliptical network, out value to value of an rgb>luminance node(please tell me if this is stupid) and then into the Bump Value of a 2d texture node. The bump2D is then going into slot 0 of the BC, and when it renders, it is just ugly, not at all what i get when i pipe the elliptical into the color of an MIBlambert.
what do i do now?
