the movie has been done in 8 month on 3dsmax 6, rendered with Vray. We used pro character tools for the muscle system, and CAT for the animation, which saved us plenty of time on all the walk-cycles.

Looks fabulous! Can't wait to see it completely. The teaser is thrilling!
Has this been shown at e-magiciens? If so, I must have missed it...
great work, as usual from supinfocom :)
PS: Any chance you know if there are any plans of putting Overtime and Herando's Hideaway on the net? I adored them...

I just wonder what audience are you targeting. Some of the monsters have a sweet look, but the trailer gives the impression it's not for kids...at least not mine...
Suppose we will see this at Imagina'05 !!

Nice looking trailer. I expect that's going to do pretty well at the festivals. Congratulations. I look forward to the finished product.

well it's not a gore movie, and some kids have seen it, young ones ( aoround 10) and they wanted to see it again. That' is actually the best reward we ever got, having kids liking our work. Our first goal in making this movie was to catch the breath of the audience during 7 minutes. I hope it'll work out well.
No , the film was not at the e-magiscien because, it's not a SUPINFOCOM movie "like the other ones", and the head-department at valencienne didn' t like the film: not enough poetry maybe!
Anyway it will be projected at the ANIMEX in february and we're waiting for answers from other festivals.
Thank you again for your comments.

Hmm. Well the trailer doesn't really get anything across except that the lizards look good and they fight each other. I'm not really excited by that. But it looks good. Animation too.

looks like you guys did a great job there, of course very curious to see the whole thing.
However, to be critical... and constructive, I'd have one comment about your teaser, it suffers a bit of a lil "too much" in the end. I would have stopped it when that big fella throws the lil fella (Nox ?) against the wall... actually I wouldn't have shown the impact on the wall and maybe just have Nox comin to the cam and basta! ...everything that was before that point was very good enough to tease us... music was doing a good job there of course, should have stopped with it. my humble opinion.
Nothing to say about the look and animation of the characters, or even the atmosphere in the scenes... it all looks very promising, congrats!

Cant wait so see this at Animex!! see you there
01-29-2005, 02:07 PM
yep! we 're from supinfocom arles. They made a mistake on the animex flyer, we're not from valencienne. And sorry but we won't be at the animex festival(cost of transportation is quite expensive for just a one day trip, and since we work, we can't leave for a week).
Thank you for all your support. Another NOX project with those monster is in project for an 70mm I-max release.
Just waiting to get enough money to start this new baby.
