CGTalk - Skin Techniques?

I got my UV's laid out (finally) thx to you guys, and now im wondering if there are any skin techniques. I am skinning him with dark skin, so any ideas?

I think I see some overlap around the lips

You should try to pull that out. And any other overlap you find.

The only good Skin Artist I've ever seen who was NOT using Poser is Christian Kohler, who's dissapeared.

You're going to find the best skin artists are in the Poser community, however. Try the PFO: http://www.poserforum.net or PoserPros http://www.poserpros.com

This is the one thing Poser users excel at above and beyond anyone else (those that do Textures).

Slice, I'm definately the wrong person to ask when it comes to judging colour on a UVMap. I can make the UVMaps all day long but I can't texture my way out of a box :D
