Hiya, I'm trying to find the best solution to the following problem:

Fill a container with multiple particle instances and have them collide. For example, I have one emitter shooting out instanced chairs and another tables. I want these fill up a large container and stack up to fill it.

The only solutions I can think of are using radial fields attached to each emitted particle to reflect the other object. This works, but very poorly (it may be my radial settings). Another more direct approach is to not use particles - just rigid bodies and duplicate a large amout above the container (and drop them with gravity). This also works to some extent but very time (& memory) consuming and it's not effiicient.

Would a program like Realflow be the way to go?

Any help would be appreciated!! THANKS http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
