This one was done through and all-nighter. It is a combination of Photoshop, Painter and ZBrush tools. It will be a cover at some point...something I am working on. Text will be added later.

I really dig the little chaps design, little bastards evil conquerors. I´d only ad reflection (a wuite square) to the glass helmets, and change the first right hand of the midlle guy, pointing the index finguer to the sky (now it looks he´s lost his second blaster).
Nice composition

maybe he has arthritis and it hurts to change the position of his hand

I like it, but the rock pedetsal they are on seems too realistically textured compared to the characters and the background landscape. Something about that makes it feel inconsistent.

No I like that, looks like a still from an animation that way.

Tip for gradients in photoshop: put a tiny bit of noise from the gaussian noise filter in it to prevent it from striping.

Yes, i agree. I almost edited my post to add that it reminds me of an old cartoon with painted backgrounds.

thanks for the feedback guys....some really helpfull hints. I will try the blur next time for gradients. :)

And you are right, I wanted to make the image resemble an animation cell.

Not the blur filter. The noise filter. It gives the gradient a little "shake".
Cheers, jeroentje
