Hello,
first time here, I really enjoy!
Hope i\'m doing it right...
Well, that\'s my firts sketches, I don\'t really know where I\'m going.
It will be about colonisation, the begining of a space opera...
Comments are welcome.

Hye folks,
at least, this is the idea I choose for this illustration. Kind of hommage to 2001 from Kubric.
It could be the firts steps of a new civilisation, and maybe the end of another on. Because it's how it works. settlers arrived and kick ass of the natives.
To show tih idea, I will play (well, I will try in fact) whith contrasts : Warm nature/Cold technology, full/empty...
Any comments are welcome
bye

Looks like a neat concept so far.I like how simple the ships are, it makes them look large, monolithic, impressive. (Just watch out for the bottom one and how it's edge is on a tangent with the cliff! :-)) Will you end up incorporating some people into the shot the way you have in some of your thumbnails?
Good luck with it!

Hye folks,
coloring starts,
I will show it step by step.
Walrus : tank u for your comment. Eventually, there will be at least one person (maybe more). The illustation will evoluate as I work, it's not clear in my mind.
Have a nice day

Hi,
It's really bizarre; and I like it. It reminds me 2001 space odyssey's monolith.
Keep that good style !
I'll watch your thread.

well,
things are on their way.
Even if I dont know how it will finish, it's cool to see the evolution of an illustration.
I didn't think about clouds at first, but after seeing several illustrations with nice clouds in this contest, I thought it would be intersting to ad somes. It put some depth to the picture.
Thank you all for the inspiration.
It's enough for me today, I'm going to sleep.
See you folks

Hello,
I worked on clouds details and "ships" this time.
Comments are always welcome.

I like it so far. It might be nice if your clouds were a bit more whispy or soften them a bit.
Good Luck

this is looking good so far, naybe you could add some some vertical cracks in the landforms, varying in girth from think to thin.

Hi, very good pic very originaly, the paint of the rock's desert is very nice, and the ship simply but very originaly, they are like the 2001 space odyssey's monolith, good work, but it's the first time i see your work you don't post very long

Great entry, i like the contrast between cultures. I love the ships, they remind me alot of the ships flown by the robots at the end of the movie "A.I" - totally utilitarian design - no room for beauty only utility. Anyway, i just wanted to point out that I couldn't help but notice that the top of the pillar of rock / cliff face on the right resembles a face. :) not sure if it was intended or not, if so, nice touch ;)
