Ok gang!.. Here is the one a lot of you have been waiting for!!

The RenderMan Academy ( www.rendermanacademy.com (http://www.rendermanacademy.com/) ) is pleased to release to its readers a full Subsurface Scattering implementation based on Jensen's and Hery's work. This kind of SSS was used on characters like Harry Potters "Dobby" and Gollum from Lord of the Rings TTT and ROTK .
This tutorial also gives an explanation that is detailed enough for everyone to understand without going into any high level math.

This SSS implementation was developed by the academy's new faculty member Ryan Heniser.
