I think the addition of the new hosted galleries (3D (http://www.cgtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=132) and 2D (http://www.cgtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=133)) is one of the best things that has ever happened at CGTalk, and I also completely understand that the animation gallery (http://www.cgtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=154) cannot be hosted.

However, one of the things that make the still galleries rock as much as they do, is the thumbnail feature. Skimming the galleries for thumbnails that catch your interest makes everything a thousand times more accessible.

And I think the animation galleries should have the same.

Granted, a thumbnail can't represent an entire animation the way it can a still picture, but, I still feel it would be a great improvement.

Thank you. :)

Cheers,
- Jonas

Hi Jussing,

This has already been suggested many times and I have addressed it every single time - and it's in the Known Issues thread (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=193433) that we're working on it - it's coming up to Christmas and we've got a lot of other things to do first before working on this!

Thanks!

Leo

Oops. I had not read that.

Delete this thread if you will, as it is redundant.

What happened to the thumbnails in all the galleries (and the feature where the threads scroll according to their post date)? Hope this is just a glitch in the new server update.
Fixed! Sorry, it was due to me having to upgrade PHP (security concerns), it overwrote some configuration stuff that the thumbnails rely on.

Thanks for the quick spotting :)
