I did somthing that i thought was smart, i subdivided my model more where i need more to get finer details where it was needed.

but when i want to generate displacment map i cant because level 1 subd got more polys then my orginal model. is there any way to still generate displacment map?

i know there is a tool from nvidia that could do this (do't remember the link to the tool) but it would be easyer and a looooot faster to do this i zbrush

and i got another problem to, when zbrush excide 1 gb pf usage (page file) zbrush crashes, how can i fix this?

thanks

sure, just export the tool as an obj at the base level and use this object instead.

thanks toonafish but i can't do that because i need to generate displacment with the orginal model the animation friendly model. if i export the ztool at level 1 base level to a obj file it will not be animation friendly (way to many polys).

anyway here is the tool i was talking about frome ati not nvidia, it's a external displacment and normalmap generator http://www.seanomlor.com/mikeb/

one more thing. zbrush crashes when i try to export my model at the highest subdivision level (4 mil polys) to a obj file. It's memory problems but when it crashes i got lots of free mem. anyone know how to fix it?
