is there a way to convert a max poly 3D file to maya without losing the my polys.
I tried once with deep exploration and it gave me a nice triangle faces object under maya :(((
this time it will be animated and I would need also to convert morph expressions !!!
any goos idea ?!?

have you tryed it with exporting as an obj file and import the obj in maya?
maybe ask in the 3dmax forum how to export with quads?

Try the FBX interchange format from Kaydara. It's free and works perfectly, at least the other way around (Maya to MAX) without any hazzle. UV's, poly's, joints, animation, all works fine!

in the doc they say it can only export mesh from max to maya...
but in fact I just tried it can export "perfectly" Poly !!!!
