hi !

I was looking for a little help as i'm trying to model a bird in XSi.

If you have a good way to create feather... I have my own idear but maybe some of you have already experienced. It's more about the way you place your feather and the way you rig it.

Thanx for your help,

i'll show you my work as soon as I found a solution ! ;)

gerem.

I don't know anything for XSI, but this has been helpful for me (it's a Maya tutorial, but it might give you some ideas) --

1. get a feather from a friend with birds as pets, or from the local pet shop, just to actually feel it's structure. remember, the staff of a feather is hollow.

2. to see some nice angels wings, atleast, [like i did], rent the movie "Dogma" directed by Kevin Smith [Clerks, etc..] some very nice wing unfolding scenes via alan rickman and ben afflecks' characters at the beginning and end of the movie. plus, it's d**n funny inbetween.

3. i found a bunch of animal films on the internet, although make sure you're avoiding porn sites like i found some sickos had up for when i was looking for baboons. just do a search to see the real thing. it matters.

hope this helps.
