I'm taking this serious risk to model him,since he;s one of the most complex models i can think of.
I already made a basic head for a start but i would need some help with the hair.I just cant understand it well.
If someone has some nice ref pics,tutorials anything youcould help,please tell me.
I am going to post a wip of the head when its ready.

I see you've got a reference picture for the face, and that you're doing it ALL WRONG!
the picture of tidus is tilted, which means that you have to take it into photoshop and UN-tilt it, THEN base your lines on it. His nose is also way too thin.
most of the body looks good...though it looks like you've got some intersecting faces on his ankles.
keep it up, this could look really cool if you keep at it!

The checks are to low which has a big impact on the face.

Characteristic of most anime type characters the lower part of the head is more slender thern the top part, Also push the forehead back some. Maybe make the lips a little more boxy, and widen the center part of the nose a little. Your off to a good start.

Thanks for the crits.
Althrough i know there are lots of probs to be fixed and it needs optimizing.i will trry to get this model as good looking as possible,since it could be a portfolio piece... :)
Updates comming tomorrow.I still havent figured out a better way to make the hair...anyone?

look his eyes on ur model they are too close from each other and too much volume he looks fatter :eek:
and he look bigger than the original i think.

Yeah i fixed the eyes area and i'm adding more details.shots to come soon.
I think i will be using 2 512 maps
1 for body and the other for head and alphas.

I think his hands too small, arms too thin, and feet too small. The face needs more work. Other than that everything seems good. Keep at it.

Some updates.I checked the proportions and the legs were slightly longer,so now it should be fixed.About the hands,i will make them from scratch since these are not good enought.Still have to finish texturing the head and hair(Wich are a real hard for me :( )

Not bad. Other then what's been said on the face. I would seriously recommend taking "in game" shots. Mainly, because, it's got the face broken down in it's most simplistic shapes. It's easier to build more features on a simplified version then trying to do it from the high-res one. Just a suggestion, though. The body looks good.

Holy, hell, batman! That is a Huuuuge improvement! It's looking really great! His face is still a ways off from Tidus, though. His jaw is too defined and his cheeks are too puffy. He looks like an "older" Tidus. Remember, the young ff characters are very effeminite. Think "backstreet boy" or "InSync" member and you've got the right idea.

aaaah,i;ve been too busy with my project and had little time to spend on this model.Anyway i re-made the head and changed the hair a bit.Hands are bigger too.I think its much better than it was....right? :)

his head does look girly. but so does titus' head in FFX.
The new head is a huge improvment, its looking really good now.
Are you going to put an alpha map on the hair?
