If that is the sun behind him (the light yellow around the head area) the shadows are going the wrong way. If that is not the sun disregard this comment. He is looking good.

I like this character. You might want to change the color of his eyes as this gives a feeling he doesn't have a "back" to his head and the sun is shining through.

This is the final image. I didn´t use plugins external and I limited myself to the filters of the CS. If you it will have good slight knowledge of drawing and fine arts it can arrive at the same result.
