Replacing objects?
Hi,

Is there a way to replace a extern object (with a later & newer version) when you already have worked on it in Zbrush (for creating displacement maps!)
because for now I have to do the zbrush all over each time ive updated my object in Lightwave's modeler, eventhough the changes aren't drastic the Uv acts funny sometimes.

And is there a way to keep morphs and surface names from a source extern object intact when exporting a obj, after painting displaces on it, back out of Zbrush?
Seems strange that I have to remodel morphs and name surfaces again and again and again .. each time a change or make a new D.map in Zbrush!

probably my ignorance :-)

Thanks N @vance

I usualy create an endomorph with "Background to Morph" from the object I exported from ZBrush when the object already has surfaces or weightmaps I want to preserve. If you want to have the morph as your base object just use "apply morph" and delere the map afterwards.

You can import an object that you changed in modeler back into ZBrush as long as you don't change the point and polygon count or order, but you can change the UV's, shape or create new polygroups with modelers polygon parts. Just make sure the active tool in ZBrush is in the same level you exported it with, so it has the same amount of points and polys. By the way, you can export and adjust a tool at any level.
