im trying to make a 3d model of an anime character. i have the front and side pics for references, whats the best way to go about this? i see a lot or tuorials using quad patch, box and sline modeling. which is the best way? and which is the easiest?

ok,

it depends how much time you have on your hands, if you need the head quickly, i would go for box polygon modeling, u can model it in low poly and then meshsmooth it if you need it in higher resolution.

If you have lots of time on your hands, you can model a head using patch modeling. u have to draw lines and make the vertices cross each other i think its 4 to make one face.

theres lots of tutorials on this over the internet.

its worth to follow the correct steps to begin Model.

That seems to be the only spline head tutorial on the net! :) does anyone else know any better ones??

sakura you might want to check this out -> http://www.planetquake.com/q3manga/oldsite/modelling_tut1.htm a tut. for modeling a manga character in max (for quake 3). btw i think there's only 4 pages.. as the 5page gives you an error. that should get you well underway however. gl :thumbsup:
