I am just starting to make game models and HI POLY models for screensavers and company websites, as well as exploded models for new products like toys and vehicle maintainance manuals on CD.
just got 4 new projects as of last week, all from posting my work on this and other forums.

I like the radiosity effect but it kind obscures the text logo, maybe you can compose a couple of renders and mask the effect less on the text logo. that would be nicer a hard marble white.
my 2 cents.

From a pure branding or prepress vantage point here are my crits:
The logo itself is way to cluttered. Nice idea with the broken spehere and the rays, but it looks super messy., It bneeds to be refined and simplified a tad.
In any corporate logo/imaging situation, the words must be foremost, then the rest second. There is just too much mess around the words, looks very unprofessional.

Second time I am posting, my first post somehow got deleted, I do not know why, I stated that i am a graphic designer and been doing many logo's. Logo's should be very simplified, sometimes words are used instead of pictures and sometimes both. In your case, you need to either make the symbol prominent or the words. Nothing in your logo stands out. Shrink the text and also simplify your logo design.
Just think a logo can be printed in black & white and very small and stay "understandable".
