You guys should try 250free.com. It works great for me and allows hotlinking for files under 250KB.

You guys should try 250free.com. It works great for me and allows hotlinking for files under 250KB.umm... I use it, and my problem was that it limits the bandwidth to 250M/month... I guess it depends on how much do you plan to post, I had problems when I posted sketches everyday and it was voting time (a lot of people visits this forums then)... there have been people recommending sites a lot of times, here (http://thefreesite.com/Free_Web_Space/) are some more if anyone is interested

Ganthu - hehehe, very funny!

Telemaco: I love your style, and this one is really awesome.

Octothreat: awesome.

Well, I have a final tomorrow, so I don't really have time to color it, so just basic lineart for today.

You are absolutely right. I'll tape a note accross my chest and back saying...

...please help me I'm WACOM-CAPPED— Symptoms: Temporary loss of speech, bulging, pulsating eyes and paralitic shock. Contact the I.T. department and get me a replacement immediately. Otherwise I will suffer from carpal tunnel the second i touch a mouse—any mouse—and the sight of a grossed-out convulsing, pissed-off, Wacomless, puertorican is NOT a pretty sight.

About two years ago, I asked my IT department for a Tablet.

I got an optical mouse instead. For a laptop.

They don't understand graphics very well.

Haven't posted anything for a while thanks to work... so here's an entry... 20 mins, photoshop, wacom. After enduring bad traffic and bad drivers, I finally made it to work... just in time to see the minute hand move...

And this happens almost once every month... sigh...

William Baker walked into his office 10 minutes late. There was a 10 car pile up on the freeway. He was lucky he was only 10 minutes late, he figured.

William walked into his cubicle only to see a huge folder on his desk containing a new project his boss wanted him to begin today... and finish by tomorrow. William knew that he was going to have to pull an 18 hour shift today, but he could do it so long as he had his good friend coffee.

...then, as William walked into the employee lounge, he made a most startling discovery....

...still trying to find my niche in digital painting, I think ;) I'm much better at traditional art, haha :p

Gunslinger -- Since you're using Photoshop I wonder why you're not using your layers. IMO it's easier to paint your background on one layer and your objects & characters on a separate one than to color around things. Also, try blocking out objects at high opacity and then add highlights, shadows and tints at a lower opacity. Hope that helps. :)

No no, I'm using layers... I'm just trying to work on stylization. It's not really working... hah. I just didn't want my style to be the cartoony style that I began here with. I'm trying to find a happy medium between cartoonish and realistic. ...it's not working :p

DMageXVII> This is for you :)

http://www.akenar.com/Sketches/Images/sk049_wip.gif

(a WIP)

As you can see I first do a real sketch, then I do the final line over it (95% final, sometimes I do little changes, but is uncommnon). Then I paint a first basecolour to give myself an idea of what colours I'm looking for -but i only do it for searching purpouses, not as a later guide-. In this one I did the line in 20 min, I paint each colour in a different layer (about 1h30), and when that's finished I drop shadows into the picture -at this moment is nearly planar-, this took me about half an hour.
