View Full Version : Guitarist Video Game...need help with models

I have been working on this video game for a few months now, but I am spending too much time on 3D modeling, so I figured this would be a good place to ask for some help. The game is a 2D Side Scroller that is sort of my tribute to the old Doulbe Dragon / Bad Dudes games, but all the main characters and enemies are shredder guitarists. The two main characters are Kerry King and Zakk Wylde. The game is written in Java and uses all 2D rendered sprites. Some characters I still need models for are: Yngwie Malmsteen, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Ace Frehley, random hardcore/emo kids, random hippies, random 80's metal fans, and random Kiss fans. I would really appreciate any help with modeling/animating that anyone can offer. It's a free game, so I can't pay anyone anything. Here are a few screen shots of what I have so far and some character renders to get an example of what I'm looking for:

This looks great, Being a guitarist (shredder) myself this is something that I'd really love to play.
lol @buckethead.. that's just insane. Get paul gilbert in there ;).

Alright, I figure I'll give this one more go on here to see if anyone is interested in helping. I have a few people helping, but a lot of characters to do. Slash, one of the hippies, and a hardcore guy are all being worked on. I still need help with: Yngwie Malmsteen, Ace Frehely, Eddie Van Halen, and Dimebag Darrell models for the main characters if anyone is interested. Also, any of the normal level guys (emo guy, hippie guy, 80's metal fans, KISS fans, etc.) would be a huge help...but I figure people would be more into modelling the guitarists. The game uses rendered sprites...so there's no poly count restrictions. The finished animated Buckethead and Kerry King models are around 8000 polys including their guitars...so something comparable would be nice. Well, I still have a lot of artwork to do, but I've gotten the majority of the code done. I changed the original post with updated screenshots...here's some other new ones as well:
