Hi everyone,
Here's a portrait of an alien woman, created for a short story I wrote a few time ago.
This woman was a famous lyrical singer, who ended her short life in a silent retreat, desperated that her great love Riis never listened to her...
To understand better the aspect of Isei's race - race that looks like humans, but come from saurians-, take a look at the portrait of Riis, her husband ( see the link below.)
This is the third version of the portrait ( I posted the first on 7 december), and this time I tried to introduce more sense of drama through red colors ; I also add more jewelry, because it's a ceremonial portrait. ;)
I hope you'll enjoy, and I welcome all your comments : I won't hesitate to improve my painting thanks to that.

weird is right, unique ;D

anyways, i really like it and i respect your restricted color palette. although you might want to tone down that thing she's resting her elbow on, it really stands out too muich i think, because it is so bright. add some brown hues to it and it'll really help (i think )

- Bakanekonei : I've darken a bit the sculpture on bottom right, but not too much - even if it's less realistic - because I don't want it to be shy.

It's a great work, love it from top to bottom.

But I have to say this... It's a mere physiological observation but... Reptiles don't have breasts nor mamal glands or anything ^_^ They're born from eggs :)

totally human. totally alien. thouroughly disturbing. the subject skeeves me more than a little, but i guess that is an indication of treatments integrity. superbly handled. good job.

Thanx for your kind reactions !

- Keroberus : fine remark ! This character has saurian ancestors, that's right, but her species evolved a lot for millions years : I imagined them having an intermediate reproduction system : eggs + mamals. Why ? Well ... it would suppose to tell you the final word of the whole story... One day you'll read it ;)
But your post encourage me to strengthen the difference between this species and ours : I gave her five breasts, much smaller, looking more like animal's mamals than woman's breasts.
