I have looked everywhere for a tutorial explaning how to make custom shapes, but i've had no luck finding one, so thought you might be able to help me.

I have an image i wanna make into 1 path, however the shape of the image makes it impossible to draw it in only 1 stroke (or as far as i know).

Lets say i have a sun. It has x number of spikes and in the middle is a circel. The only way i know how to draw a path around it, is by making 2 shapes, 1 for the spikes and 1 for the circel. Is there another way to do this?

I hope to hear from one or more that know how this is done

Post the image that you are wanting to use to make this path out of. Also, why does it need to be one shape? Why don't you make multiple shapes then merge the layers? Anyways, post the image if you can.

One way to do it is to add to your initial shape by turning on the "Add to Shape Area" button. With this checked, everything you do will add to the same shape layer. You can go to the help files and look under Drawing > Using the Shape Tools > Creating Shapes for more info. Then with your shape layer selected go to Edit > Define Custom Shape.
