I really dislike the color picker that i'm using in photoshop. Are there any others that I can use or is something in the options that I can use to change my color picker? Thanks

If you don't like to choose your color in HSB mode I know you can always use RGB or Lab (by clicking on the little radio buttons in the color picker) but I find them quite wacky.. What is it you don't like about the color picker ?

that's a really cool idea Plaf, i would've never though to do that! Makes it almost the same as using the oil paint palette in painter.

yeah that is a really good idea. nice work

I don't like the color picker, well, i'm not sure why. I like the one that's integrated into max a lot more, maybe cause i'm used to it much more, but who knows. Thanks for the suggestions.

i gave colorcop a go, but didn't like it very much. if you could do paint blending like you can in painter, i.e. have it function as a real palette, i would likely use it.

if you're going to use it, i'd also suggest this little util that let's you set things to 'always be on top' http://www.skjoldbroder.dk/fisse/ontop.exe

nah...I just make sure "Always on Top" is selected from the Color Cop options panel.
A Handy little app though Plaf, cheers for the link.

I would like to see an addon color picker like Picky for Lightwave in Photoshop where you are able to define your own color libraries ( and already have some predefined ones ) .

Doesnt MAX use the windows default color picker? If it does, you can change it in the preferences. Preferences > General The first box is the Color Picker. You can choose Adobes, or the Windows default. My opinion, get used to Adobes, yer gunna be using it ALOT. IF you want to make your own, create a custom color swatch file.
