wildsheepchase 08-29-2002, 11:03 AM Hi! This is what I've been working on lately. If it gets good enough, I may use it as my avatar in a pc game I've been playing...but, I don't think it's there yet. So, bring on the crits, please:wip: :wip:

Ehm...guess I should have titled it "hot, sexy chic wearing horns" or something of the sort...
Seriously, comments and crits welcome. I can't believe that it's that bad...

I think its pretty good, the style of painting is very "old world" and does seem to fit the portraiture type of style. The proportions are what is out of whack, below i took the liberty in photoshop and reduced the whole size of the head dramatically to be in proportion visually to the body for the most part. Then I had to resize jsut the face to fit the head.
BTW I would have titled the thread "Horny Chic"
Hope it helps!

-Try to really define your light source more for drama.
...I might add that you could add some different tones of shading in the squiggly stuff around her head, plus casting a shadow from her head onto the dress would help too. Wacom was on the money with the scale issues, some yellow ochre-y tones might compliment the purple. Just a thought.......
Don't stop on this one. It has a nice old world feel.

Well, here's a final update on this. I've been working on it too long maybe. I might come back to it later or just repaint it again some other time. I hope it's a bit of an improvement from the first post:D
C&C welcome

congratulations, it looks very nice now!!
I liked the first one better. It had a kind of weirdness that was lost in the updated version.
