Hello,

I'm a student and learning Avid Xpress Pro, Combustion and Photoshop at the moment.

My machine is a Pentium 4 with a Dual-DVI-Graphics-card (without TV-Out) and I'm searching for an "external monitoring solution" for Color Correction and previewing of cuts on a TV-Monitor / Reference monitor.

This solution should provide output for all three programs. Maybe 3DS Max or Cinema what I will definitely learn later on:

I would like to see all in real-time on that screen:
- my cuts out of the Avid
- my compositings out of Combustion
- my paintings/changed pics out of Photoshop

In the best (affordable for a student) quality.

I've seen that there are solutions that are PCI- (Decklink) and/or Firewire-based (Datavideo DAC-100). I guess for color correction, would it be the best to choose a pci-based-solution.
