Since so many people seem to struggle with the renderer and some other aspects of messiah, I want to make two offers:

If people near Berlin/Germany or willing to pay for traveling (theirs or mine) need help with messiah:studio, I offer personal teaching for 46,40 Euro the hour including 16% german VAT for private lessons. And I really mean personal: bring your projects and problems with you and let us find the best solution together. I don't like overhead projected stuff but prefer hands-on teaching for individuals...

For companies, the price for lessons will depend on the number of attendees and company size but should be somewhere between 75.- and 150.- Euro + 16% VAT the hour if you aren't Pixar ;) Again, I prefer working together on real project stuff.

Additionally, I want to offer TD services: While my main strengths are lighting, rendering and texturing including shader writing, I also do expressions, rigging and animation as well as compositing etc.
This can be either on-site working with you directly or - if the nature of the project allows it - we can work over the distance.

Custom plugins are also an option, but don't ask me for "hair" or "cloth" yet... ;)

So if you need help - just call.
All contact information can be found on my website:
http://www.screendream.de under "Kontakt".

Cheers,

Thomas Helzle

I plan to go to France sometime next year. I speak fairly fluent French, but my German is non-existant- maybe I could swing by Germany, regardless, and say "Hi!". :)

DVD has been a great way to learn. visuals are always better than reading a bunch of text!
