I am making this for a childrens bedtime poem storybook. Wanted to get some views on it and how I can make this an awesome piece. Obviously it is way cartoony and exagerated.

maybe make the moon more cartoonish to go with your theme... maybe a halfmoon with a face or something...

very nice theme i like the feel and mood but at least rotate the stars a little bit to differentiate them and the clouds should be more transparent like the chimmney smoke great work!

Looking great :) My thoughts would be to make the moon more cartoony like jazzy said, also maybe a house on one of the hills to spread it out just a bit, seems abit concentrated in that one lil area. What about some cartoon style animals? Maybe a sheep or cow on the hill instead of another house. Very good so far, keep chugging away.

I like it so far. Definitely rotate the stars. It's a little distracting having all the large stars facing the same direction. I would like to see the lighting have a more blue-ish tint. Right now it seems a bit too yellow, which detracts from the feeling of night. As kmblackbear said, add a couple small houses on the distant hills in the background. :) Also, it might be nice to have the lights from the windows cast a small amount of light onto the ground.

hey thanx for the qrits. Yeah I will add the lights. The stars are not modeled, its just texture. I'll see what looks good. The hills are left empty for the title of the book, "SLEEPY TOWN" I changed the moon to a crecent but it looked odd, and took away from the exagerated size of the scene. So I am going to leave the moon. I am playing with lighting right now, blue looks good, so I think I will do what was sugested. Thanx for all your help.

Love the style, its got a great feel about it. Only thing thats irritating me beside whats already been said is the cloud on the far left, almost looks like it sitting on the top of the hill, could just be me though. Besides that looks great

Hi, I think you might have misunderstood me a little about the lighting :). It looks like you changed the color of the light in the windows? What I meant was to change the overall lighting from the moon to a slight blue color; the windows should be left yellow-ish. Also, the shadows seem a little too dark. Nice update though.

I did add a bluish tint. Maybe not enough, here is the before and after.

After Blue Change

The windows changed for some reason so I made them yellow again.

I definitely like the blue moon, but I think the foreground shading in the before pic is better.

Ok, thanks. It was hard to tell what had changed because I couldn't remember exactly what the original looked like. Much easier with a side by side comparison. I do like the new one more. Keep us updated. :)

Smooth graphics. I liked it. Maybe you can add some scatter objects (small stones) on the hills. Maybe you can add fences. And a small hut for a small cute dog. :) Children like it.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can give this a dreamy look. IE through photoshop. Or any filters I can apply to the image, or tecniques. It would be great.

For the more dreamy look, I would really recommend brightening up the whole scene. I know it's nighttime and everything, but really brighten up the foreground, I think it will give you more of a look you are going for.
