OK guys, this has never happened to me before.
I am working with Photoshop 7 painting some 2048X2048 textures with several layers each. Everytime I try to save as an IFF image it tells me that it can't becasue of a program error. So I save as something else instead. I end up saving as a Targa. So when I open up the Targa file in fshake, I save out as an IFF image and when I open up THAT image, instead of being the normal size, 2048X2048, it reduces it to 1024X1024. And this is on a 3.0 GHz and 2 Gig Ram computer. I don't knwo what it's doing!!! It's driving me insane. I can't save out any of my textures as IFFs and I need to save space because of the small disk space on MY own drive.
Can anyone please help?

Ok. So far, I've played around with saving it some other ways and what's been working so far is that I have to leave Alpha Channels checked on in order for me to save it as an IFF image. Weird.

For some reason it just locks up when I uncheck Alpha Channels and have to save it as a copy. The app just quits on me. !?!

hmm.. sounds like a bug then. Adobe might appreciate a report on that.

Yea I remember having that problem myself. No apparent reason for it. In the end I just had to use a different image format. I would be interested to hear if anyone knows what the problem is or what the limitations are on the iff plug for photoshop. I think I also had similar problems trying to save non-square file textures using iff as well..
