Yeah, anything by Trapcode - it's all great. Particular is awesome.

If you can afford them, The Foundry's Tinderbox collections are all very good.

I have RE:Vision FX's ReelSmart Motion Blur and Reflex. (RSMB is great for doing 3D work when you need motion blur but it will take five times longer to render - just do a single pass and add the motion blur in AE!)

I'm a great fan of Psunami (now owned by Digital Anarchy). This also works well with DA's Aurora Sky. I would suggest DA's 3D Layer, but there's a Lite version built into AE6 already!

It all depends on what you want to do with them. You don't buy things if you don't need them, even if they are great, right? :) What effects do you need?

Er, yes, actually, what effect are you after? AE features an awful lot of functionality out-of- the-box these days...
