Hi there,
Would like to ask the pro's on this forum about their opinions about the 'performance' differences revolved around gaming VS certified workstation cards of the same brand and its VPU model.
I have a Radeon 256bit 9700 Pro 128mb (gaming)
&
Just won a Radeon 128bit Fire GL T2 128mb (workstation certified)
Is it worth pulling out the 9700 and use the certified Fire GL T2 for the sake of it being a certified card for content creation such as max and maya? I know that the Fire GL T2 has a lower VPU core (9600) compared to the 9700 Pro and I can't really find on the net or on this forum any comparisons between the 2 cards directly.
I would just like to know if even at a lower model VPU and less pixel pipelines, less vertices per second and all the rest of the spec stuff etc on the Fire GL T2 - whether it would still hold out with the Radeon 9700 Pro specifically.
The notion of workstation card sky high prices confuses me..
