Wow. The rifle is rockin'.

I love the color choices and balance for the rocket launcher, but the area with the white buttons seems sort of flat. Also, the bar code seems slightly out of place and I think the text and diagram could be more 'chipped' or scraped away, and not quite as clear.

Nice work though.

very nice work! can we see some wires and get a tri count?

I assume this would be for an FPS?

the rifle is a F2000, and the rocket launcher is a AT 4

beautiful weapons!

I do have some questions regarding your assault rifle/gl combo..

you shooting caseless with that? even though, you'd still need an eject port to clear jams (unless of course the ports on the top-kinda dark there in the renders)

also, how would you cock it (chamber a round/manually cycle the weapon)-lever?

and how do you load the gl?

overall, a really sweet looking ar and rocket launcher (where can I get those?!)

also curious about your polycount, what maps were used, and how large are they?

keep up the excellent work!

the F2000 is about 2300 polys and the AT4 is about 1800. both have 1024 textures

Winter, it's a real gun. It's not caseless, the shells get ejected out the front end of the gun. The grenade launcher, I believe works similar to an M203, and the entire barrel assembly slides forward for access to the chamber/shells

it is an m203, but FN's take on it, it fits into the fn 2000's modular system.
the fn 2000 uses a curved mag, it is compatible with the m16 mag.
the texture does not look plastic enough, never thought i'd say that, lol.

thats what I Thought, the real one looked really plastic :)

Wow, very nice work. I love all the detail that you put into the weapons. I really like the hand gun... Can you please post some wire frames? It would really help me a lot on the GAC 11, to see the basic outline... How many polygons did you put into the weapons?

-Good Job, DevilHacker

WOW!

I like the texture work ... all too often people model weapons with flawless textures. I like seeing "battle" worn weapons ... adds to the ambience of any decent fps.

Basically - the pistol and rifle in Splinter Cell were called the SC20K and SC-something else, but you can still find some references in some of the Splinter Cell documentation that refer to them by their licensed names, the FN 2000 and FN 5-9. I'm guessing 3 reasons for this: 1, military units often rename weaponry to suit their own conventions (M1, M16, etc), and 2, cheaper to not pay to use the license, and 3, the SC20K could do a few things the real FN2000 can't, so this way I guess they weren't really stepping on any toes.

Textures and models: awesome job! Did you use bumpmaps? The beretta handle especially looks beautiful. The only parts that look a little odd to me are the almost purple tint to the Garand's wood texture, and the labels on the RL look too smooth and perfect compared to the rest of the texture. Great work!

The f2000, beretta, and rocket launcher look really great. The m14 looks good but is mising the fluted bits on the front top section. Can we see the beretta from a view more similar to ingame? Also, the beretta mag seems a tad short right now... Not important though. Oh, there is also this daimond shaped indent near the top of the mag. I have an airsoft m9 and I can upload some pics of it.

thnks for all the crits, most of you guys know´s more about thees models than I do ;). I'm working on a Warhammer 40 000k cutscene right now and a projekt for a Swedish movie. I can hopfully post some rends later.

Keep up your good crits

The metal parts in particular show where the finish tends to rub off. Also, pistols issued to troops serving in the desert tend be more scratched up. Its a pretty accurate m9 except that the barrel is a tad short and its got an elite slide, precision sight, and lightened hammer added.

I hope I didn't freak anyone out with my airsoft gun :D Also, I think those pics will help to show what wear and tear on a parkerized finish really looks like.
