Well this is my entry for 3rd peugeot Contest.
Made in 7 days totaly out of nurbs + patch corners ( 3 - 4 - 5 ) and one trim...

Hi !

It's very interesting but even for a concept in still needs some detials changes :).

As already mentioned side mirrors are problematic (you really need to strech your nect to look at them) but what about interior mirror :)? There is none inside. I also would like to see soem more "concept" rims - these now looks like Mercedes AMG rims :).

Hi , i am really glad that there are more and more people from Serbia ( i am from serbia to - born there... but now live in England ) that are doing design and 3d! Car is just super , just that side mirror ... anyway amaizing concept....

Sto se tice malo ti se uzjebala tesalacija na fancy lajsni okosoferke(vide se coskici) POPRAVI TO!!! I Izbaci ovaj filter totalno ti je pokvario render. OBAVEZNO prepravi retrovizor, moj savet ti je da ga uradis tako da prati konturu soferke a da bude prikacen na sadasnjem mestu. Takodje, ako poslusas moj savet, neka retrovizor bude kubican(u poprecnom preseku blizak pravougaoniku) ali povijen kao soferka!!! Koj ti je mail? Hocu da ti posljem neke slicke. This car is very interesting...i like its simple design and how it looks like u could see little 4 y/o riding on the street in traffic with these babies causing havoc!

Sorry, but I'm pretty surprised at the 4 stars as well. There are a few things that I think you might be able to fix/improve on this...

1. As pointed out, the mirrors aren't viewable from the inside of the car.

2. If the person in the image is supposed to be to scale, he's going to have a hard time fitting in the seat.

3. The headlights aren't attached to the car (see right headlight) - they also seem to be pointing upwards at 45 degrees

4. There's pixellation along the windscreen/windshield frame

5. Some of the decor seems to be placed a little odd like the grill on the side - it seems too close to the door frame.

6. It seems a little too low to the ground - big wheels but no clearance - can't image it would make it over a speed bump

7. the step near the doors looks like it's missing Y-axis - looks far too thin

8. As far as design goes, I'm a little puzzled as where the engine will go?

Anyhow, don't take the criticism the wrong way or too seriously for that matter. You put this together in 7 days so well done, but if you're entering it into a contest at Peugeot I think you'll need to iron out any wrinkles still left.

well first of all

1. headlight it is somekind of bug with trim... it is attached when i look it in normaln view of maya , when i render it it looks of... :(
2. hm... in my blueprint there is space for motor in front
3. If ferrari can go over speed bump... then octo will fly over it :)

well let me explain you something... have u everseen Mobile Phone M30 ? It is i think 2-3 years old model... also called Siemens Ferrari... it is the model ... u look at it ... and there are only two critz....
1.WOW IT IS GREAT

there is no middle... so i think that is case with my Octo.... you have an interresting concept right there, so if someone said 'interresting' that is neither 'great' nor 'it sux'. everybody's opinion is unique. :p

the simplest solution for the side mirrors problem could be to lower the upper edge of the doors (the bottom edge of the side windows, same thing ;)).

you have a problem with the wheels - they cannot be turned, so either move them aside (thus making monster-octo :D) or scale them down a bit... or perhaps to change the front shape of the hull somehow. and also i agree with Lewis on the rim thingie.

note that bumpers are always positioned at the furthest front point of a car. it looks like you just placed them there because every other car has them. think why they have them. :lightbulb

To me, it looks like a cross breed between a golf cart/tractor and a telephone boot.

Speaking purely from a drivers point of view. The fact that you are unaware what is going on around you in the traffic, makes the car pretty dangerous. The over-shoulder glance and the side mirror site is as equaly important as what you see infront of you (or in this case what you dont see). A person of an average hight would have a hard time looking through the window itself, let alone seeing the mirror while driving. Its either that, or the turning wheel is far too low to make it a comfortable car.
The proportions seem to be way off, the car seems to be well suited only for some giraffe like creature. Lowering the entire cabin, along with its windows would solve many of these problems, the driver could actually see something around him, he could use the mirror and he wouldnt have 2 feet of empty space above his head.

I dont like the form of the car, but its just my opinion, i think you lost too much space in order to make it look retro or something, seems to mee that you could easily put two more seats, or a nice big trunk that would be ideal for shopping purposes.

About the 3d itself. There are some pretty jaggy, low poly edges that are quite noticable. The bumper seems like its been cut off revealing no volume at all, its an eye catching detail.

it's really funny from you to criticize other cars when we see yours. u gotta know that the symbol of peugeot is a lion no an octopus... but it's really kind from you to design a car for the pape jean paul II...
if u told me that three months are too much for modelizing my concept, u should know that it would take me only two hours to modelize yours.
only kidding you. the goal is far but i think that you'll reach it soon.

second... i wanted to design something totaly diffrent from "REGULAR Peugeot" and octo has that perposse...
so what if Lion is symbol ? should i design every car to look like lion ?
