hi,
i'm doing an animation of a virus for a movie and it has all these tentacles. We had our modeler rig it who isn't has experienced as a our rig specialist who had to leave. he has these clusters set up but i'm having a hard time with it.
What would be the best way to do this type of rig? it doesn't have to be overly complicated, just simple enough to do some smooth movement.
I used the octopus in my header because thats the easiest way to explain it and the arms would move roughly the same.
My friend said the best way is to use a blend of FK and spline....i'm really just an animator so i really wouldn't even know how to begin this.
