This was done for a contest over at eatpoo (http://www.eatpoo.com/phpBB2/index.php). One of the topics is "what if the Nazis won WW2?"

These guys are meant to be American resistance fighters.

Check the thread (http://www.eatpoo.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3713) for my full description and some very cool work by other artists (not too many have picked the Nazi theme so far).

Done in Photopaint 10 in about 12 hours.

Ballistic great paint, The warm pinkish tones and the golden browns on/around the guy are sweeeeet, they really set up those cool tones. Ionly wish for rest of his foot in the frame, but that's a very small wish. Kudos

Always like the stuff you paint.:)

great piece overall, love your lightng and the great coours, my only crit outside of agreeing with sleepless about the fott (hope you just cropped it to post) is the occasional stroke you did to make the flods, the ones that come outside of the silhouettes, I figure this is a certain style you are going for, and while interestng, I find it a littlse distrating as the rest of the silhouettes are so crisp. I tink it would be better either alll sorta rough and wispy like that or totally crisp like the other parts. They just seem to have such a high contrast to each other that I find it a little distracting. Great picture tough, I have a copy of it in my my pictures folder, keep it coming.

Really nice painting!:applause:
My only crit is that the ground is a little ambiguous. It's snow right? It's a little confusing, because the man seems to be standing on concrete, but the woman looks like she is standing in a snow drift. If that's the case, there could be a little more info to depict the two surfaces.
Really good job, though. I love the way you painted the trees in the background.:buttrock:

Wow, this is an amazing piece. I wish it was the cover of a book, because I'm sure it would be an interesting story!

Aside from the main subjects of the painting and the forest background, which are absolutely great, I really dig the sky. The pinks and yellows on blue are so subtle but do so much.

It's that sort of thing that blows me away... I would never think of using those colours for that effect. I suppose that's what I'm here for; inspiration.
