For those of you that were cutting school when this came up in art history:

There isn't ONE Turner style, can you be more specific, maybe select one of these paintings that you are shooting for?

OOOOO! hehe
You'll be hard-pressed to pull that kind of stuff of with just PS. Unless you've got some virtuostic painting abilities; never mind knowing Photoshop really well.
You'd be better off with Painter for this project. I just don't think PS has the right tools for the job. Photoshop's painting abilities are still in their infancy stage.
But i wouldn't be opposed to seeing someone try their hand at it with PS. ;)

its only suposed to have a hint of a turner painting, doesn't really matter which one, it's for something which relates to his work, has to be a mix, photorealism with a turner hint

was this the kind of task you get from a client where he goes "oh yeah, I think we need to have realism like, but with a turner-esque touch" ?
"y'know, I want like, punk rock or maybe college rock, man, but mixed in with like a ska and Bach-esque overtone, nono wait, not Bach, more like Händel, yeah?, yeah? so yeah cool, tell me when you got something for me to hear!!"
