Title: Holocaust
Name: Stefan Frank
Country: Canada
Software: Blender
This is a revision of an old image I made a long time ago ( =http://www.freewebs.com/arowe/Stonecorpse.htm]Stone Corpse ) and I was quite happy with the result. I re-did the textures, and added the background and tenticles. Modeled and rendered with Blender 2.35, a couple textures made in photoshop, the rest are blender internal. This is my first post on cgtalk, and C&C are very welcome.
Thanks!

hey stefan, welcome to the forums.
i like the image. i looks more like a real artwork than 3d. that's cool. that's the kind of picture i would put in my livingroom. very good compostition, too.
er, btw: is this the original render? no post? if so --> very cool.
i just watched the original image (which is located on http://www.freewebs.com/arowe/Stonecorpse.htm ).
i think you can't compare these two pics. the orignal one is,... not finished...
gret improvement!!!

This is superb. It's really nice to see people creating not just photo-realism with 3D apps.
That's a unique piece of work you've created.
:thumbs up:

Hi Arowe, unlike others, I wouldn't have such art in my living-room, it would scare my daughter :scream: LOL
I'm interested in saying the original render, too, and perhaps even the composition in layers in PS or Gimp, whatever you used, if you used anything, of course! ;)
cheers,
olivS
Arowe, congrats on the stars man. You deserve it for this one.
I already stated my comments at elysiun, so I'm not gonna repeat here.
Just great work.

thanks very much everyone!
ManiaX - thanks very much. This is indeed the original image straight from blender with zero post processing. Indeed, the original doesn't compare to the new one. I got bored with it when I first made it and moved on, and then a few months later I was going thorugh my file sand found it and decided to finish it. I'm glad that i did!
lv_88 - thanks very much.
BigLarry - indeed, thank you very much
PMikk - thanks
olivS - thanks very much! If you want to see the original render, well, you're looking at it;) That's it straight from the rendere without any post processing. Glad you like it!
BgDM - thanks very much, they meant alot.
gabio - thanks, it started out as an experiment with the new particle feature and then I added it to my old head model and went from there.
thanks everybody!

This would look great on a speed metal album cover.
:)
Come to think of it... it kinda reminds me of the Exploited (punk band) "logo".
Really nice work.
