Hi,
I was curious to find out what you generally think is the best way to enlarge still renders from a 3D application to a higher print resolution for use in magazines, books, wall posters, etc. Would it be better to try and create everything in my 3D app by rendering the final result as high as possible, and resize the result up from there? Or, would you use the 3D program to lay the groundwork of basic shapes, shadows, and colors, then resize the pieces and finish off by combining it all at high res and only then add details at the very end? I have been looking into some image-resizing programs like Genuine Fractals and Qimage, but I have the notion I might get higher quality results if I add high-res parts together instead of trying to resize the complete final image. I am still undecided, so I would appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thanks.
