hello,

Im having a problem which occurred on my machine yesterday.
It says i have to re-authorize max (even though its run fine for the last 4 months), so when I go through the process of authorizing, and enter the information it says everything is fine. then it simply brings up the same dialog again asking me if i want to authorize or i can run max for another 5 days. it didn't matter if i kept on authorizing, the problem would just pop up again.

I uninstalled max, and did everything i could to remove all traces of it and then reinstalled but the problem occurred again. in the end the only way i could fix it was by reinstalling windows. that worked.

but now the problem has just popped up on another machine in the network, and i definitely am not allowed to reinstall windows on that one.

has anyone else encountered this issue? I'm absolutely stumped.

find this folder on your machine:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Macrovision\SafeCast\Product Licenses

then delete anything inside.

restart max, and then re-authorize. if it does it again, re-delete the contents of that folder, and then try re-authorizing when inside of max. (help > authorize 3ds max)
