View Full Version : photoshop filter effect problem .. ?

i have created a layer 500 x 500 px and a text layer, i have rasterized the text layer and now i can't apply all of the filter effects, just blur and 2 or 3 more effect ... i can't apply render effect ... what is the problem .. how can i fix this problem ... ? thanks .

layers might be locked

you might be in cmyk mode or indexed colors (ie not RGB)

you might have clicked the little checkerboard in the transparency palette which locks transparents pixels (hence the blur doesn't blur)

yeah, sounds like you may be in cmyk mode. Some filters don't work in cmyk, simply switch to rgb.

the mode was RGB and 16 bit (in Photoshop CS) .. i have learned that photoshop dont support some filters in 16 bit .. when i bring it in 8 bit, it worked. thanks for your advices ...

the same thing is happening to me now.
first one of my filters went out, now earlier today another went out.
it appears to render the effect, but when i click the OK button, it doesn't show.

img mode: rgb, 8bits per channel

i've tried restarting and reinstalling also.
