CGTalk - Maya Particles

Hey Folks,
Justgot into particles and I can't seem to get my sparks to work right. They are coming out of a exploding fire ball. Sparks have their own emitter, although they aren't reaching well at all. NEED HELP PLEASE.

You're going to have to define "they aren't reaching well at all". I know particles but I can't tell by your description what is happening. Be descriptive.
