Yes, it's compatible.
Just copy
Meshtools-Macroscripts.mcr to ui\Macroscripts
Meshtools-Functions.ms to std \stdplugs\stdscripts
MeshTools_16a.bmp
MeshTools_16i.bmp
MeshTools_24a.bmp
MeshTools_24i.bmp
to ui/icons and ui/discreet.
It should be under Category:Meshtools

You may want to install the old meshtools, though, cause csPolyTools depend on it. And wait for an update.

Haven't actually tried them yet.. I'm on the verge of reformatting etc so am using R4 at the mo. .... but from the read me:
What's new in v3:
- some minor bug fixes to tighten tools
- the tools are now sticky in a quad menu. Even in cases you cannot use them, they will remain there (just disabled)
- Bridge (connect tool on polygons) now work with uneven vertex count polys also.
Couldn't test it much, so leave your left hand on ctrl-z (undo) when using it.
Note: meshtools v2.5 probably wouldn't work in max5 due to some maxscripting changes.
This is also true for v3 of meshtools and max4.2. Could work, but I didn't try it.

Glad someone posted the MT3. I was running the 2.5 version in MAXr5 with no problems. MT3 gets rid of duplicate tools, and as the post above says, tightens some things up.
What a wonderful script. Wheee :D!!

The only problem I seem to have with Meshtools v 2.5 in Max 5.0, is whenever I use the Edge Turn function, it deletes the face instead of turning the edge  . . .
I'll have to give version 3.0 a go.

That's because now to delete edges you have to use REMOVE command(supr deletes the face)

Meshtools 3 is out and I wasn't informed!?
Where can I get it?
I'm still on Max 4.2 for the forseeable future. I presume it works for that aswell? I noticed Lazlos site hasn't been updated, and only 2.5 is available on scriptspot.com. I'd love to get 3.0 if it allows for bridging between polys with different edge counts. Sounds cool. (dribbles uncontrollably)

Meshtools3 is on the 2nd max5 CD.
I read a note from Lazlo on the discreet forum about this version.
He wrote that it is still incomplete and does currently not support CSPolytools.
So we have to wait a bit.

Nuts! So I can't get it unless I upgrade to Max 5? (which won't be happening for the forseeable future)
Aww craaap! :annoyed:
