Carlos Santos 08-28-2002, 02:44 PM Hi all!!!
I'm hoping that you guys and gals can give me some feedback on this show reel that I've just uploaded, I'm concerned mostly about the length of the movie, although I quite like the editing I'm not sure if the 1:15min long is enough to show the work. www.bunchdesign.com/reel.html (http://www.bunchdesign.com/reel.html)
well...thank u in advance.
Cheers
Grury
p.s.- divX clips will be available later 2day.

I'm glad you people liked it!
me and enay* are the guys who did the two liquids pieces that you see in the reel, the software used was indeed realflow, its definitely not for the light hearted tho, ...unless you have a render farm at your disposal that is!
Does anyone else feel that the reel is too short?
Nice stuff on it...
some graphics design animation are :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Nice reel. Not that long - I think it's advantage. I would change some parts and may be removed some, for example the part with boxes. And may be not repeat parts that already was shown.
Once I was at Career Meeting with people from ILM, PDI and Wildbrain. And they show reels of folks they hired. The reels were very simple in construction - modeling part, texturing or rigging part, animation part. Models were shown in static, slow 360-rotation, rigging part show muscles and how different parts work. And I read somewhere that techno-like music wouldn't be recommended for artist's portfolio, better go without it.

great animation, i agree about the techno:D
For each real you show me without technoish music i will show you 20 million with blaring techno beats.
The fluids look great, but i got one problem with some of the animation, that teddy bear, when he does that kick, it kinda smells of character studio... smells kinda like axekick.bip :D overall, superb

Thankx all 4 the replies...
I forgot to mention that we put this reel together as part of a new company/artists collective called Bunch from London, UK. That's the reason why we try to cover a wide range of styles and skills rather than just concentrate on one area. I guess we not targeting ILM's, Pixar's and the likes. Our aim will be to produce pop promos, web animation, advertising and so on.
Once again thank u all for your comments.

Regarding the fluid clips, refer to "Atomiser's" post, he's one of the liquid wizards on the reel.
For those with a kick ass connection, check out the half b'cast clips Qt and mpeg4 freshly uploaded.

Hi again, as been a while...
Since then we did a few changes on the reel, worked on the sound track, added a few more clips and made it a bit longer.
