is it because you yourself cannot draw the curve you want, or when you draw is it jagged or not complete? If you want to just sketch with your wacom, look into alias sketchbook pro, its an amazing program built just for it. there is a 15 day trial on alias.com

thanks Mr Majestic i look into that link pronto

if you want nice, smooth curves, you could use paths - but it doesn't sound to me like that's your problem.

however. if you don't like the slick feel of the wacom tablet surface, try taping a piece of paper or cardboard on top of it to get the feel of pen on paper.

Hi. I had the same problem on a small wacom. Using a 1 to 1 relationship between the screen and tablet solved it for me. I currently use a 9 by 12 with a 17 " monitor.
Try scaling your image area and see if that helps.

You might try turning on Smoothing in the brush palette in PS; that helped me enormously.

Zooming in quite close helps, as well. I love getting all the fine details painted in while zooming in really tight, panning across the image in close-up mode as I fill in a loose sketch done at 100% to get proportions correct. Much less trouble drawing curves and long lines nowadays :)
