hello everybody?

is there an easier way to achieve a "flat-shaded" look with outlines of every visible face than texturing every single polygon ? formZ has got an option like this, itīs called "surface render". by the way, there is no way to render vector files out of 4d (this also works in formZ)?

or is there a way to animate in 4d an export this animation into formZ and render it there?

Yes. Use Render Settings-->Effects-->Cel Renderer and enable Color and Edges. Unfortunately there's no way to adjust the outline thickness.

What's a vector file?

Oh, I see. AFAIK there's no way to export a vector file from Cinema. I know there are a couple of Flash plugins, but I'm not sure if they export in vector format either.

actually there are two flash export plugins. these are FLICKER and FLASH EX. but the output file is a .swf. so you you don't have vectors there, too. :(

Vector Line and Spline Curve are the same thing... Vector Lines tend to be 2D, however.

Illustrator, XARA, Freehand, CorelDRAW all use them.

well you can render out a flash movie and then import it into flash player to get the vector lines, I would recommend Flash EX, or wait for C4D 8 :)
