A responsibility we all share is to look past the process that may need to be in place to effectively make a game - such as specialization of tasks - and facilitate not just communication between team members, but also inter-personal interaction. The concept of the individual runs counter to the "corporate culture" where fitting in and making sure you go unnoticed unless you're doing something that falls in line with the company line is the norm. Ours is an industry, however, filled with highly creative individuals who have very different needs and goals than assembly line workers.
