I'm doing compositing, for fun, but i found something not working.
The AVI i'm using as background is a large AVI DV file from a digital camera. When i start the rendering process of the 790 frames project, Cinema crashes after a variable number of frames... I thougth it was a matter of the avi format of the background... so i exported that movie in Quicktime... but nothing changed. Maybe is a matter of the size of that avi? I can't really find a way... does anyone can help me?
I include a screenshot. As u see is a very simple scene, just 3 lights, two spheres, a plane... nothing else...

What's the extension of your output? .avi? .mpeg?

It's also worth noting that using movies as textures or backgrounds destroys your resources!

It's .AVI
U think is a matter of RAM???

Why don't you make a tiff serie and compose the pics in another program like premiere?

I was warned by a long time user that having movie files as textures eats up memory and slows down rendering ALOT. Maybe in this case it is crashing the PC?

I guess using a movie is loading LOTS of pitures into the material all at once, so it stands to reason really!

The error message i get is about C++ runtime or something....

Cinema won't crash if i use a small Qtime movie.... Maybe is a matter of what u are talking about...
