I was looking on this lovely octopus from a Brazilian company from this link :

And my question is: I was trying to make an octopus myself, but I always get stuck where I need to add detail in some places, in this case it is the octopuses eye.
as you can see in the wireframe, it is very detailed, and I don't know the technique to append the more detailed eye to the less detailed body.

It is obvious that the eye was made specifically, and was somehow appended to the body, my question is how do you append a more polygon detailed mesh to the less detailed mesh.

Ideas anyone ?
thanx

HI
I think that he did not append the eye to the head he modeled the head as main thing and then extrude the eyes and made some bevels . finally add meshsmooth
I know the mesh is not regular around the eye that because he add some cuts I think
I hope I benefit you

Well, Beveling and extruding can be a good idea, but it is just that I find it very hard to realize the mathematic way I can resolve the problem of the flow of edges, and polygons, it is a riddle to me still, and I can't find a good article about this.
Thanx for you help.

Well, this is just the link I was using as reference. They don't tell much about the making of the 3D octopus, but more about the whole concept, and workflow.
But thanx
