Hi.

I have been modelling a few years now, and I can create good models fairly quickly. I can unwrap them well.

Now, I have a set of finished, good quality models for a space game project (think old-style sailing ships -pirate frigates etc- in space floating on solar winds, with each ship carrying a number of traditional space fighters such as may be seen in star wars/battlestar, etc).

Another member of the team is texturing my old-style sailing vehicles, and doing an excellent job. But I am not an expert at creating textures, and really want to do a good job on creating textures for the more star-warsy ships. I am desperately looking for tutorials/articles/examples of good quality spaceship/spacestation textures and how to create them. For example, creating light effects, plated hulls, damage effects, etc.

If anyone knows where I can look for help, its you guys, so I am turning to you for help and advice.

If anyone has links or advice, I would appreciate it the help.

Spending some time at a tutorial farm like www.tutorialfind.com or http://www.tutorialman.com or whatever. A lot of interface tutorials for panelling, lighting, etc are very transferable to creating game textures.
