Your off to a very nice start. The eyes and the nose as far as I can tell seem anotamically correct. You may need to turn down the bump on the lips, to give them a more softer, skin-like texture. The chin seems alittle to low, but its really hard to tell from the angle. What method are you useing to model and do you plan on finishing the head completely?

The lip texture is actually just a temp. texture since I 'borrowed' it, I will make my own when Im done modelling. Ofcourse I will finnish it =) Im using point to point modelling which I think now is atleast not the fastest way of doing it, next time I will probably do it with splines instead.

Point by point has its advantages. There really is no right or wrong way to model a head. Just which ever works best for you. Here's a linke that'll help with some of the anatomy issues that may spring up. www.fineart.sk/heads.htm Good luck.

Here's my latest shot of Jade. If you haven't used reference, you should, it's the only way to make the face you want.

okay good model for your first one ,your ears are no lobs make good obseravtion of your own face and works a little more on the eye and nose(hole look to small) to create good eye you can go see at 3dluvr or computer art (good tutorial)

great start continue ...

Not a bad start, especially for your first head. Few things really quickly. Her nose seems a bit too narrow and skin around the sides of the nostrils needs more definition. Try to get rid of that puckered look to her lips. The corners ot the mouth should blend seemlessly with her face. Post some renders of front and side views. Alsways have references in the background that you can model over top of. As far as modelling methods, use whichever works best for you. For faces, I tend to build face by face in poly constantly smoothing and checking finished results. Point by point may be time consuming, but its usually a lot easier to get the detail exactly where you want it than by using splines. I've reached the point where it actually takes me less time to do point by point or a similar method than roughing the shape from a sphere and slowly adding detail.

I have updated my site yesterday, there is not much about modeling a head but there is some about modeling a car...there's actually some nice tricks for modeling. So if you want you can check it out...

Keep up the good work.

BTW I think there's more space between the ears and the head.
Perhaps you should post how you modeled it...using what prog and what technology
