Hopefully you'll get what I'm saying here and it won't seem too wierd :)

I'd say most of you have a tendency to spin a pad of paper around a bit while drawing to help you in drawing a straight line in a certain direction of whatever...

My question is this...is there a quicker way to do something similar in Photoshop than going to "Image->Rotate Canvas"?

Thanks for any replies.

Nope, not in Photoshop. Painter has a spin page function, but Photoshop doesn't have one at all.

i would even say, that rotating the canvas in an arbritrary angle to emulate Painter's 'spin page' function is a bad idea since it

1) resamples your image, i.e. makes it more blurry every time you rotate it
2) continually scales your image up, since it doesn't actually rotate the canvas, but merely takes the pixels in the image, rotates them and expands the canvas so they'll all fit (an area that was previously a rectangle with 90degree corners won't fit into the same space if you rotate it 30 degrees)

Dammit....oh well. Looks like I'll be scanning most of my drawings from now on...

Thanks,
