How to get a Z-buffer without antialiasing?. If you quit antialiasing in the render menu, z-buffer element does not appear(neither other element type)

do you have a background plane or something?

It does not matter the scene or the background. If you quit antialiasing in render rollout, none of the render elements work. My question is:

Is there a manner to get those elements without antialiasing?

Thx!

hi Reality3D,...
no straight way within the max, just use my guide:

"make everything black or a simple material & turn off shadows
& reflections & atmoshpere & ... (for speeding up the rendering)
now render out the scene to RLA format , then in AFX, import
these footages & apply effects>3d channel>3d chanel extract
& adjust the black & white point to achieve the proper good
looking z-depth image, now render out these seperated z-buffer
& use them!"
