View Full Version : Automating sharpening, adding border and saving over originals?

mkay, title says it all really. I can get the actions to sharpen, and add two borders, easy stuff. However when saving using actions (ie, saving is a 'action') then using the action on another photo, it doesnt work. Ive got some photos I want to sharpen & border, and I really dont fancy doing all that manually to 200 odd photos. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated :thumbsup:

it sounds to me like you've created an action that works fine, but are not using batch processing/automation

basically, you save your action, go into the automate section (file/automate/batch) and you can pretty much figure out where to go from there - you just specifiy a source and destination folder, an action to apply, and hit 'go'.

Yeah don't worry about adding the saving part into the Action. If you batch process the action you'll have an option to Save and Close on all the images you're running the Action on.

seriously though, that worked a treat, I was trying to do it all via the actions tab.
